“We’re there for you at every turn” is the theme of Edgetech’s booth at GlassBuild America this year, which will feature a variety of new products, highlight new partnerships and provide hands-on and interactive demonstrations for areas including quality assurance, specialized equipment solutions, technical service, creative marketing support and high-performance products. With education a key component of the exhibit, the company will feature its Super Spacer warm edge spacer systems, as well a number of new offerings, including Edgetech Test Equipment powered by EDTM, Gasglass and Spyglass technology for non-invasive gas-fill measurements and glass analysis, and IntelliClip muntin end clips, including a newly added warm-edge clip designed by S.I.L. Plastic. In addition it wiil feature its SustainaBlock setting blocks formulated for total system capability, The E-Z Rad grid placement table for simplified and flawless grid patterns in shaped glass, the Form8tor vinyl profile bender that allows multiple bends to be produced simultaneously, and Lauren weatherstripping and seals, custom-engineered for residential and commercial window, door, store front and curtain wall applications (in adjacent booth 1829). Additionally, Edgetech will feature its Super Spacer Dealer Tool Kit, which includes marketing materials to help customers sell the many benefits of Super Spacer to homeowners.

Hotver 2000, a one-part hot-melt butyl formulated to give IG units good mechanical properties to last longest in the field, is being featured by the supplier in Las Vegas. To meet various customer needs, Fenzi North America is also now offering Butylver PIB in grey, as well as the traditional black. The supplier of IG components also offers Molver 3A desiccant, Alu Pro aluminum spacer profiles, Roll Tech warm edge stainless spacer and Fenzi Warmedge spacer profiles.

The manufacturer is featuring its complete line of residential low-E glass products, including Solarban 70XL glass, said to be the industry’s highest-performing solar control, low-E glass. PPG will also feature two new residential products, Solarban 65 and Sungate 400 glasses. Formulated as a value alternative to Solarban 70XL and Solarban 60 glasses, Solarban 65 glass is a double-silver, solar control, low-E glass. Sungate 400 glass is a passive low-E glass developed for window makers and homebuilders seeking to meet Canadian Energy Star requirements. It is well-suited for use in Northern U.S. climates as well.

The insulating performance of Solarban 65 and Sungate 400 glasses can be further enhanced in window systems that feature Intercept Ultra Stainless warm-edge insulating spacers. Also being featured by PPG, the spacer provide industry-leading thermal performance along with superior gas retention, strength and flexibility, according to the company.

The award-winning Envirosealed Windows program is being highlighted by Truseal Technologies at GlassBuild in September. The supplier will showcase the latest program developments, including new options for producing high-performance Envirosealed Windows. The Envirosealed campaign is designed to simplify environmental and energy savings messaging for window manufacturers and dealers by highlighting the thermal efficiency benefits of top-performing spacer systems. Program participants can address the growing demand for green products through consumer-ready educational tools such as literature, point-of-sale pieces and a dedicated Web site. Marketing pieces tout benefits like lower energy consumption and reduced CO2 emissions that are made possible by using Truseal’s Dura Platform flexible spacer systems, including Duralite and Duraseal spacers. Through the Envirosealed Windows program, the company helps manufacturers choose from a variety of pre-certified component packages that yield windows exceeding current tax credit requirements. Producers are able to economically create Envirosealed Windows with ratings as high as R-6 (0.17 U-value), which is 50 percent better than Energy Star 2010 criteria, according to the supplier.
