Software & Systems at GlassBuild

The supplier is demonstrating its newest generation of its FeneVision ERP software at GlassBuild. Based on one central Microsoft SQL Server database, the software features all necessary functions of a modern enterprise, such as quoting, order entry, purchasing and stock control.

The company also will display its FeneVision LineScanner, a scanning solution for quality control, measuring and sheet identification. With a 400 dpi scanning resolution, the system is an advanced and compact scanner. It can be integrated in either a horizontal or vertical line, retrofitted to any existing production line or incorporated into a new line.

Frontier CADFlow leverages the capabilities of Autodesk Inventor to bring digital prototyping, advanced engineering capabilities, and powerful 3D modeling and presentation tools to product developers, sales force, customers, and shop-floor personnel, all fully-integrated with existing Frontier applications and workflow, the supplier states. From Friedman Corp., the product enhances the quote-to-sale process with powerful 3D visualization and communication capabilities. It also speeds new product development and reduces engineering costs for custom, “one-off” engineered-to-order configurations, according to the supplier. The system allows rapid deployment as it allows Frontier users to use existing models, rules, databases and expertise.

PrefSuite order entry and manufacturing software integrates quotations and orders with the entire ERP process, driving the order through the plant. From Preference North America, its integrated suite of applications covers the entire operation, including product development and design, order entry (in-house or Web), production scheduling/line loading and capacity planning, materials management and purchasing, shipping and more. PrefSuite is a just-in-time based manufacturing system with automated scheduling to ensure the best of both worlds while maximizing companies’ ROI. Its ability to tie together the front-end order entry with the back-end production scheduling and shipping reduces overall lead times, reduces order entry and shop floor errors, improves productivity and cost efficiency, and drives higher customer satisfaction and retention, according to the exhibitor.

CenterPoint generates quick, accurate, and professional looking quotes for customers, and automates all order entry processes, the supplier states. To be featured at GlassBuild America, CenterPoint also acts as the central repository for cataloging options and pricing for a company's product knowledge. From WTS Paradigm, its configuration technology lets users store all product pricing and options, including to-scale drawings of each window or door. The program increases productivity and eliminate wastes by reducing configuration error that comes with manual entry. It can also be distributed through the sales channel so customers can directly quote and order through a company's system.

Looking to provide customers with the most advanced software tools in the fenestration industry, the supplier recently added WTS Paradigm Base Camp. Provided at no added cost, it gives users more power and flexibility by eliminating wasteful downloading time. It also helps the company live up to its vision of delivering fast, easy-to-use software that is always available when needed.
