Trimmable Fiberglass Doors
On-site alterations on fiberglass entry doors are possible with Trimmable Doors, opening up significant new opportunities for these types of products in the remodeling and replacement market.
With the ability to have 2 inches cut from their width and length, the doors feature composite stiles that can be trimmed up to 1 inch on each side. The top rail can be trimmed up to ½-inch and the bottom rail up to 1½-inch.
Being able to adjust the height or width of the door and cut-to-size at the point of installation is a major benefit, because it allows contractors, remodelers, and builders to fit an existing doorway with precision and avoid having to reconstruct the entryway. Those involved in remodeling jobs are often faced with situations where they are forced to either completely reconstruct the framing. By adding stiles and rails that can be cut, adjustments of up to 2 inches do not affect the door’s overall strength or ability to withstand impact.
Plastpro’s new Trimmable Door is available in 12 styles from the Woodgrain and Smooth Skin series. As with all of its fiberglass doors, the Trimmable Doors utilize the company’s Hydroshield Technology, which eliminates water infiltration and prevents rotting and warping.
