Wincore Windows & Doors has assembled a new sales force led by eight territory managers who will service existing accounts and help grow business within territories in West Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.
Based in Parkersburg, W. Va., Dan Cody joins the vinyl window maker with more than 15 years of experience in direct sales management. He previously worked at Tennessee Building Products and at his family's building supply company.
Located in Temple, Ga., Sam Collins has 13 years of sales experience in building products, serving as a territory and district manager.
In Senecaville, Ohio, Tony Jamiel brings more than 23 years of experience in sales and sales management experience, including 15 years as a manager at Famous Supply. In Altoona, Pa.
Tanya McGeary has more than 17 years of experience working with wholesale building supply distributors. She previously worked at Kohl Building Products and was most recently sales manager of the company's western zone.
Based in Bluff Dale, Texas, Bret Robinson joins Wincore with nearly 10 years of experience in management, sales, territory development, contract administration and account management.
Tim Smith possesses more than 30 years of millwork and building materials experience. Based in Vienna, Ohio, he previously worked for Babcock Lumber, and most recently worked for Simonton Windows, where he was twice named district sales manager or the year.
W. Scott Townsend has over 15 years of experience in outside sales, in addition to experience in the construction industry. He is based in Mechanicsville, Va. Finally, the vinyl window maker has added Philip J. Weaver to head up sales in its eastern Pennsylvania territory. Based in Carlisle, Pa., he has held multiple positions in the building products industry, including regional, district, territory and branch manager, and also spent time as an accountant.
Wendy Weatherington has been promoted to assistant vice president of sales for DAC Products after serving more than two years with the company as inside sales and customer relations manager. In her new position she will continue to work closely with the inside sales department while taking a more active role in sales development.
The company also added Leslie Gannon to its sales staff. Gannon has extensive experience in the customer service field.
Lamatek Inc. has promoted Shawn Newman to product design specialist. Originally hired in 2005 as a machine operator, Newman currently designs custom products to stringent customer specifications for the supplier of adhesive tape products.
Chris Vu, initially hired as fenestration customer service liaison in 2007, was recently promoted to cost estimator. Vu has an extensive background in customer service and corporate accounting.
Cat Burns joins Lamatek's sales department as marketing coordinator. She is responsible for organizing all aspects of the company's marketing activities including print advertising, trade shows, direct mail and internet marketing.
Jim Kirk has been promoted to quality supervisor for Simonton Windows' W. Va. facilities. In his new role, Kirk provides support for quality activities and processes at three locations. Kirk has worked for the company since 2000, starting as a field service technician and working his way up to a technical trainer in the corporate quality department in Parkersburg, W. Va.
Realigning its sales team, Edgetech I.G. has named Jim Plavecsky as regional sales manager and added the Tom Evans Sales Group as a manufacturer's representative in the Great Lakes region. Plavecsky brings more than 20 years of industry experience, including serving as vice president of sales and marketing for Edgetech and North American marketing manager for Tremco. He previously operated his own sales agency, Windowtech Sales, selling fenestration industry products. Plavecsky is responsible for managing the newly-added Tom Evans Sales Group, as well as Kyle Kragenbring of the Kragenbring Group in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
With more than 45 years of industry experience, the Tom Evans Sales Group will represent Edgetech in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia and Michigan. On its sales team are Saul Santiago and Sue Nagel. Santiago has 15 years of experience in the areas of sales, marketing, technical support, IG system analysis and sales management. He served 11 years on the direct sales team at Edgetech, most recently as national sales manager. Nagel has 12 years of experience in the areas of customer service and purchasing fenestration components. She supports suppliers and customers as inside sales rep.
Edgetech has also added Brian Plavecsky as technical service representative at its headquarters in Cambridge, Ohio. Jim Plavecsky's son, he previously worked as an independent sales rep for Windowtech Sales for three years.
Mikron Industries has added two new vice presidents. Mark Milburn joins as vice president of finance and Bonnie Butler as vice president of human resources. Milburn previously held the position of vice president of finance for Microscan Systems and has various other work experience with manufacturing companies.
Butler worked as the human resources director of the News Tribune where she managed a large staff and served as a member of the executive leadership team. She has also held leadership positions and the City of Tacoma and Pierce County.

A frequent speaker at Fenestration Manufacturers Association meetings, David Toney has joined Adams & Reese LLP as special counsel with the litigation practice group in the Houston office. Toney practices primarily in the area of construction disputes, commercial litigation, products liability, personal injury defense and toxic tort. He has broad experience in business and commercial litigation and real estate litigation including complex, multi-party commercial and residential construction disputes concerning construction and design defects, product failure, and warranty claims.
