Stage Set for Win-Door North America 2013
Vi-Lux Building Products now offers an innovative alternative to traditional wood door frames that is maintenance and rot free, the company reports. The Vi-Lux door frame system combines the strength and convenience of wood door frames with the enhanced properties of 100 percent cellular PVC, making them moisture and insect resistant, as well as dimensionally stable with a low thermal expansion index, according to Vi-Lux. All of the door frames are fully UV protected and available in a smooth, white finish. Woodgrain embossed, stainable frames and trim match the traditional or fiberglass entrance doors. Customized finishes are also available on request. The Vi-Lux door frame system is available in 4 9⁄16-inch, 6 9⁄16-inch and 7 1⁄4-inch sizes.
On display in Toronto, the latest product offering from Windowmaker Software, Windowmaker Measure, is an app for tablets and smartphones that enables a salesperson, dealer or contractor to capture photos, dimensions, text and voice annotations for each ‘hole in the wall.’ The customer can then send details by email for processing manually, or transfer the details directly into Windowmaker.
Climatec from Verre Select Inc. is the only prefinished fiberglass door that has a through-color pre-pigmented skin, according to the company. The slab is ready to hang and available in exterior white, Gentek Black, Gentek Commercial Brown, or stainable raw fiberglass, with white on the interior. Verre Select’s 10-year warranty covers the door’s structural integrity, as well as the UV-stable and heat-reflective paint finish.
In the upcoming year, Novatech will introduce new decorative designs, as well as steel and fiberglass doors to meet new product trends, it reports. Novatech will present these new 2014 products during Win-Door North America. Also on display will be the exhibitor’s new Imagine door, and a raise-and-lower blind that operates more smoothly with an improved mechanism, the exhibitor reports.
