LaCantina Doors

LaCantina Doors’ aluminum, thermally controlled, impact-rated multi-panel door system combines contemporary design with high performance. The system has a DP70 rating and is Dade County approved for use in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone and other windborne debris areas. It features narrow 2 15/16-inch stile-and-rail profiles to allow for more glass and daylighting, 2¼-inch-thick panels for optimal structural performance, and thermal breaks throughout for increased energy efficiency, the supplier reports. The door system is available in widths of up to 52 feet, or 16 panels. Split finish options for the interior and exterior frame mean the interior fascia can be a different color, finish or wood species than the exterior aluminum fascia. Enhanced weather performance features include an engineered, weather-resistant raised sill for water resistance; additional hardware for maximum structural performance; and impact-resistant glass for safety.

A new addition to Hufcor’s line of movable glass walls, the Monarch by Hufcor product line features two exterior, weather-resistant wall systems. Monarch by Hufcor folding glass walls and lift-and-slide door systems feature thermally broken, aluminum-framed doors suitable for use in hot and cold climates. The movable walls reach in excess of 10 feet high and can achieve efficient U-values for large glass openings, the supplier reports. The 3-inch frames can accommodate up to triple-pane insulating glass units, and can be field glazed to meet exacting project performance and aesthetic requirements.

From Weiland Sliding Doors & Windows, the wX Liftslide sliding door features panels that stack to the interior or exterior of the wall rather than sliding into a pocket. Active moving door panels lift onto rollers and glide smoothly on a 3/16-inch flush track. The weight of the door, a special gasketing system and multi-point locking hardware all combine to provide weather resistance and security, according to company officials. Weiland can integrate lift-and-slide doors into custom projects, including curved, corner, pocketing, jamb and track designs.
