Chelsea Building Products announced that the 400I Series, its latest window offering for the impact and coastal markets, has passed the rigorous testing required for Miami-Dade County, Fla. Specifically, it meets the Miami-Dade County Large Missile TAS201, TAS202, TAS203, High Velocity Hurricane Zone and Miami-Dade requirements.
Passing the Miami-Dade test means that the 400I also passes Wind Zones 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well. The single hung, XO horizontal slider and picture window meets Missile Level D and Wind Zone 4 Impact test rating in accordance with ASTM E 1886-05 and ASTM E 1996-05. Wind Zone 4 testing requires that a window can withstand 140 mph winds. It meets AAMA Grade LC50 structural test standards with upgrades available to meet light commercial Grade LC65, the company reports.
