Allied Building Products Corp. , a distributor of roofing, siding, windows and other building products with over 200 locations in North America, opened two new locations in South Windsor and Bridgeport, Conn., earlier this month. The new Allied branches are located in buildings formerly occupied by C&S Distributors, which has ceased operations.

Donald Toth, Allied's VP for the Northeast Region, notes that many former C&S employees have been invited to apply for positions with Allied, but that Allied did not buy the company. The new Allied locations continue to sell the Earthwise vinyl windows previously sold by C&S.

A third C&S branch, located in Latham, N.Y., was shut down. Based in E. Rutherford, N.J., Allied is part of Oldcastle Inc., the North American arm of CRH plc, based in Ireland.
