Amesbury, the supplier of window and door hardware, weatherseals and other components, has acquired Overland Products Inc. Based in Fremont, Neb., Overland supplies metal stampings for a wide range of applications, mainly in the fenestration market.

Overland, has been a long-standing partner and supplier to Amesbury’s hardware manufacturing operations, officials note.  As part of Amesbury Hardware Products, the company will continue to supply its existing customer base from the Fremont operations. Executives foresee further benefits to accrue from Amesbury’s strong customer relationships and sales structure in the U.S. and potential synergies with other Amesbury facilities. Bill Ekeler, formerly CEO of Overland, becomes general manager of the new business unit.

“The acquisition of Overland’s product range and expertise in metal stamping is an exciting opportunity to return to Amesbury’s strategy of acquiring well-run companies that expand our product offering and capabilities within the fenestration industry,” says Jonathan Petromelis, Amesbury president and CEO.

“Overland’s strong customer relationships and commitment to excellence fits our goal of being a reliable solutions provider in the window and door industry,” adds Wayne Steinhauer, VP of Amesbury Hardware Products.
