BMC Rolling Out Apps for Employees
BMC, the distributor of building products based in Boise, Idaho, is working with Apperian to develop and roll out a suite of enterprise mobile apps designed to transform its sales and operations business processes. Called BMC 2 Go, the Apple iPhone and iPad apps will make employees more mobile, productive and effective, company officials state.
“BMC 2 Go will empower our people in the field,” says Malini Balakrishnan, BMC chief information officer and VP of process optimization. “As employees visit job sites, they will be able to access data and documents—on demand—that live behind our firewall. This will allow them to share valuable, proprietary content like videos and PDFs of different styles and brands of building products, which will enable customers to make important buying decisions in real-time. BMC 2 Go is easy to use and will provide builders and their buyers with access to content that will allow them to visualize the finished project even as it’s under construction.
