Former Republic Windows CEO Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison

After pleading guilty to theft, the former CEO of Republic Windows & Doors was sentenced to four years in prison, according to a Dec. 5 article from the Chicago Tribune. The former executive, Richard Gillman, pleaded guilty to stealing more than $500,000 from Republic Windows, the Chicago-based company that was shut down suddenly in 2008, prompting a sit-in of more than 200 workers.

In addition to the prison sentence, Gillman was fined $100,000 by the court, according to the article.
