Gorell Expanding Beyond Windows
Gorell Windows & Doors is introducing a new line of reflective building insulation products designed to make homes more comfortable and reduce energy costs. Manufactured for Gorell by Environmentally Safe Products Inc., the new products are R-Comfort Attic Wrap, Rafter Wrap, House Wrap and Water Heater Wrap, and are said to offer "a perfect fit" with the manufactuer’s offering of energy-efficient windows and patio doors.
"This is our first non-fenestration product," reports Tyson Schwartz, Gorell's VP of sales & marketing. "We feel that R-Comfort Insulation will be a fantastic product addition for Gorell and our customers."
Pointing to the fact that the company has been an Energy Star Partner of the Year for six years running and a Sustained Excellence Award recipient for the past four years, Schwartz notes, "energy efficiency is a focus of Gorell. We felt by adding a product like R-Comfort Insulation, we would help our customers' homes become even more energy efficient. It's a rather simple goal—we are interested in helping America become more energy efficient. There are other innovative energy-efficient products that we are currently evaluating. Some of these products are fenestration related, while others aren't. I would say 'stay tuned' as this could be one of many product announcements we will make throughout the next year."
Gorell foresees the new line of insulation products being sold primarily by its existing window and door dealers, Schwartz also reports. "We have a specific plan for how we see the insulation products evolving, as well as the other new products we plan on introducing. Our core customers have always been our sole focus and this will continue to be the case."
Many of the company's dealers feel the new line "is a great fit for them, especially during off season," Schwartz continues. In Northern climates, homeowners are sometimes reluctant to have windows installed during a cold snap like the one much of the country is experiencing now. The R-Comfort Insulation can be installed up in an attic space, and the homeowner doesn't have to open their home up to the outside elements, he explains. "We feel that the R-Comfort line will enhance Gorell as not just a window and door company, but more an energy solutions company. We have always tried to help our dealers differentiate themselves, and this product is another avenue to accomplish this."
