Gorell Reports Record Month for Sales
Gorell Windows & Doors reports that October 2009 was the best sales month in the company’s 15-year history. Additionally, the Indiana, Pa.-based manufacturer of windows and doors notes that the three-month period from August to October was up 25 percent over the same time period in 2008.
Wayne Gorell, president and CEO, attributes the sales record and growth to a number of factors. These include improvement in the U.S. economy, the federal tax credit program, pent-up demand for replacement windows and doors and strategic moves by Gorell that have allowed the manufacturer to acquire a significant number of new dealers to market and sell its products. “Despite the economic downturn in this country that lasted through part of the summer, we have been fortunate in achieving record increases in new business acquisition,” he reports. “In fact, sales volume from new accounts that joined Gorell this year is already 75 percent higher than sales volume from new accounts in 2008, which itself was a record year for new accounts. Both the sales month record and the 2009 new account record are significant achievements for our organization.”
The gains can also be attributed to the company’s decisions to expand its product offerings and to introduce additional energy-saving glass systems for its windows and doors. A perennial national Energy Star Partner of the Year award winner, Gorell also worked to have some of its products certified by Green Seal as environmentally preferable.
