Great Day Improvements LLC, parent company of Patio Enclosures, has acquired the operating assets of Stanek Windows, a manufacturer and installer of vinyl windows based in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. Based in Macedonia, Ohio, Great Day intends to manufacture and offer Stanek brand windows as part of its comprehensive line of home improvement products. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We are excited about the continued growth of our organization and the additional product offering we will be able to extend to our customers,” says Steve White, Great Day managing partner.

Great Day first emerged in the home improvement market when GDIC Group LLC, a Cleveland-based private equity firm, acquired the assets of Patio Enclosures at the beginning of 2011. Last year, Great Day added SoftWall Finishing Systems, a manufacturer of an acoustically-efficient panelized interior wall finishing system for basements, home theaters, offices, media rooms and bedrooms.

“This is one of several initiatives we’ve executed to transform and expand Great Day Improvements into a one-stop home improvement company for our customers," White states.  "The Stanek brand has been in existence for 60 years and in terms of quality, it is an excellent complement to our legendary Patio Enclosures brand.”

With the addition of Stanek Windows' retail operations in Ohio, Wisconsin and Florida, Great Day now operates 20 locations around the country, in addition to 10 franchise operations and a number of dealer locations, White reports.  The company plans to move Stanek vinyl window manufacturing to the Patio Enclosures plant, retaining the majority of Stanek's employees.
