Interlock USA, the window and door hardware supplier based in Reno, Nev., was recently named as the exclusive North American distributor of window and door hardware solutions manufactured by the Siegenia-Aubi Group, consisting of the companies Siegenia-Aubi KG based in Wilnsdorf, Germany, and KFV Karl Fliether GmbH & Co. KG, Velbert, Germany.

Interlock began distributing the line of hardware products last fall. The new arrangement  encompasses joint marketing campaigns, co-branded collateral, and a collaborative presence at industry events and trade shows, as well as open communication between the two companies with regard to new product development, company officials note.

“The focus is on quality,” says Adrian Vicker, Siegenia-Aubi's divisional managing director in the United Kingdom. “We have chosen to streamline our sales and marketing effort through dedicated partnerships. Our goal is to have a North American partner who can offer insight into their market, develop a clear sales strategy, and execute it.”

“We are constantly launching new product lines and improving existing solutions,” adds Karel Schwengler, international sales and export manager for the Germany-based company. “As a global company, we rely on our distribution partners to act as our sales teams and, as such, they need to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of our products.”

Along with the expanded relationship, the companies are promoting E-Look—an environmentally friendly, high corrosion-resistant hardware finish developed by Siegenia-Aubi. Featuring superior wear resistance, E-Look finishes have passed more than 1,000 hours in salt spray testing making them ideal for even the most extreme applications, including harsh coastal environments, it is reported. Interlock USA is in the process of offering E-Look as standard on all of its European hardware solutions.

“Offering superior corrosion resistance adds significant value to our solutions,” says Axel Husen, Interlock USA president and CEO. “We’re excited to combine efforts with Siegenia-Aubi and KFV, not just in terms of distribution, but also in the area of new product development. This partnership allows us to expand and improve our product offering to our North American customers by incorporating the most advanced technology in the world.”
