Following up on the closing of its manufacturing operations earlier in the week, Jancor Cos. Inc. filed a voluntary chapter 11 petition on Oct. 30 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, according to the Web site Chapter11.com.

Based in Ohio, Jancor unexpectedly closed its Survivor Technologies and Kensington Windows vinyl window production plants last week. It also closed vinyl siding and fencing and decking plants in Missippippi.

Jancor officials did not respond to requests for more information, so it is unclear whether any of its operations will be started up again under the current owners or new potential owners.
