With remodeling activity expected to far outpace new construction in 2009, Jeld-Wen Inc. has launched three new vinyl replacement window and patio door lines to meet the anticipated demand for remodeling-specific products. In addition, the company is creating a new replacement program tailored to dealers who market, sell and install windows and doors into existing homes.

"For dealers, this is an opportunity to affiliate with a national brand with a strong reputation for reliability and to take advantage of products and promotional material designed specifically for the in-home sales environment," says Les Stephens, window marketing manager. "Jeld-Wen is a leader in vinyl windows and offers the widest breadth of product, nationwide production capability, brand support and promotions. That's attractive for customers."

The replacement windows and doors program is currently available to dealers in the West and Great Lakes regions. Stephens says the program is expected to expand to additional regions later in 2009.

"Vinyl replacement windows account for more than 50 percent of all windows sold in the U.S., so these new lines are a great opportunity for growth," he continues. "Naturally, the dealer channel is a big part of the initiative and our new program can help these independent companies who target homeowners to grow and increase sales."

The new Primo, Bravo and Omega vinyl replacement windows and patio doors feature energy efficiency options and new styles. The Primo Collection of vinyl windows and patio doors is exclusive to the West.
