Joyce Manufacturing Co., a manufacturer of sunrooms and vinyl replacement windows, is moving its window manufacturing operation from Boardman, Ohio, to its main plant in Berea, Ohio. Joyce currently manufactures sunrooms at the Berea facility and is presently restructuring the plant for both operations.

“This is a wise move as we are closing a leased facility and moving it to an operation at which we own the building and land,” says Russ Schmidt, Joyce president. “Over half of the employees are either relocating to Berea or commuting together. Retaining our skilled workforce is critical to a successful relocation. We plan on adding additional employees for our expanding replacement window business.”

The Boardman location was previously Graef Window Co. Joyce acquired the assets of Graef in September 2008.  Its plant was under lease until January 2010.

Joyce, which serves the Eastern half of the United States, has been in business since 1955 and manufactures sunrooms under their Oasis brand name. It operates its window business under the name Joyce Windows.
