Joyce Manufacturing Co., manufacturer of Oasis brand sunrooms, has purchased the assets of Graef Window Co., a vinyl replacement window maker based in Boardman, Ohio.  Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Berea, Ohio, Joyce will maintain Graef window manufacturing operations in Boardman, which will become a new division known as Joyce Window Co.
“The acquisition of Graef under the Joyce banner perfectly complements our quality sunroom products, and we’re very excited to add these products to our existing and new customers,” says Russell Schmidt, Joyce president of Joyce. “Graef has been in the Youngstown area since 1937. Their business philosophy, which includes providing customers with high-quality products and exceptional customer service closely follow the culture of Joyce, which makes the match all the more perfect for us.”
“While development and strategies are under way, our immediate plan is to provide comprehensive, elegant marketing and merchandising tools to meet the current and future needs of our dealers and homeowners,” adds Gary Winkler, executive vice president of Joyce. “It is very exciting for us to help initiate Joyce into the replacement window business.”
Started in 1955, Joyce reports it is the largest vinyl sunroom manufacturer in the United States.
