Said to be one of the largest manufacturers of extruded plastic products in China, China Liansu Group Holdings Ltd. is establishing a joint venture in Canada with the Skyreach Group Inc. The new company, Skyreach L&S Extrusions Corp. will operate two divisions–one providing vinyl profiles to the window and door industry and another supplying standard and custom-finished vinyl patio doors and basement windows, as well as decking, railing and fencing materials.

Founded in 1986 by Wong Luen Hei, the current chairman and an executive director, China Liansu Group is headquartered in Shunde, Guangdong. The company has more than 3,800 employees worldwide, with operations in China, North America and more than 20 other countries. The company is presently involved in the development, manufacturing and distribution of pipes, pipe fittings, valves, window and door profiles, window and door hardware, bathroom and kitchen faucets and plastic extrusion equipment.  A publicly-listed company, it trades on the Hang Seng Stock Exchange in Hong Kong.

Headed up Saylor P. Huang, president, the Skyreach Group started nine years ago importing extrusion equipment into the North American market. It then expanded its product offering to include windows and door profiles, fabricated patio doors and basement windows. Currently, it has five window system platforms and has developed a strong custom profile business to meet North American demands for stylishly-designed, energy-efficient patio doors and windows, the company reports.

The new joint venture has relocated from a facility in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, to a newly-renovated and upgraded 100,000-square-foot plant located at 55 Freshway Dr., Vaughan, Ontario L4K 1S1 Canada (416/663-1888).
