Andersen Corp. has named Jay Lund as president and chief operating officer, as of September 1. Lund reports to Jim Humphrey, who remains chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

Lund, who becomes the 10th president in the company’s history, joined the window and door manufacturer in 1985. Over the years, he has held a number of leadership positions in sales and marketing management. In 2006, Lund was named group senior vice president of sales, marketing and logistics, with additional responsibilities for Andersen subsidiaries Eagle Window & Door, KML Windows and Renewal by Andersen.

In 2008, he was named president of the Andersen Window and Door Group, at which time he was also appointed to the Andersen Corp. board of directors.

“This is another step in the succession plan that the board and I have been implementing over the last few years to ensure strong executive leadership," says Humphrey. “We have every confidence in Jay’s ability to lead the company and we know he is well prepared for this role. It’s clear that Jay is a visionary thinker and an inspiring leader with an unwavering passion to win.

“Among the many things that I admire about Jay, uppermost are his pride in being a part of Andersen and his belief in the core values that have made it such a special company,” Humphrey continues.

“I am honored to be named president of this outstanding company,” says Lund. “We have a great team and, while we are operating in a challenging environment, I am excited about the future.”

As CEO, Humphrey will continue to be responsible for the overall performance of the corporation as well as focusing on its long-term strategic direction. Humphrey has been with Andersen since 1999. Randy Iles, president of Silver Line, will continue to report to him for a period of time before transitioning the reporting relationship to Jay Lund, as part of the planned transition.
