Marvin Windows & Doors has discontinued its wood entry door product line, company officials report.  The decision also impacts its interior wood door line, introduced earlier this year at the International Builders' Show.

The Warroad, Minn., company entered the entry door business in 2005 with the the acquisition of Heritage Door, a high-end wood manufacturer with a 65,000-square-foot plant in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Company officials offered no comment on the decision, but an article from ProSales referenced a newsletter from one of Marvin's dealers, indicating there were manufacturing and transportation issues associated with the Honduras location.
