Mark Hermann, with 37 years of service at Quanex Building Products, has announced his retirement from Homeshield Fenestration Components, effective November 30. He will be succeeded by Jack Conway, currently vice president of operations at the Quanex business unit.

“Mark has been associated with Homeshield for almost 40 years, and over that period of time has seen the business grow from very modest
roots to an industry-leading window and door components company,” says David D. Petratis, Quanex Building Products chairman and
CEO. “The board of directors and I want to express our sincere appreciation for Mark’s many years of service and his unwavering dedication to the company and wish him much happiness as he and his family enjoy the fruits of his labors in the coming years.”

Conway has been promoted to general manager at Homeshield, effective November 1. He was with the company for seven years and also served as its vice president of sales.

“With Jack’s hands on experience at Homeshield, which include extensive sales and operational knowledge, he is very qualified to lead the Homeshield business now and through the coming recovery of the housing cycle,” Petratis states. “He will also ensure that Homeshield plays its part as the Engineered Products Group transitions itself with Project Nexus.”
