New Simonton Program Promises Faster Delivery

Improving on its previous seven-day delivery commitment to the industry, Simonton Windows has introduced SimontonTime–a new service offering that promises delivery on the vast majority of the window and door manufacturer's products to the company’s distribution customers in only four to five business days.

Under the new program, the company offers three primary levels of product delivery.  Level 1, which includes the majority of the products made by Simonton, are custom-manufactured and shipped in four to five business days. Level 2 products are shipped in six to seven business days and level 3 products, which are typically specialized products, are shipped in nine to 10 business days, the company explains.

“Our new scheduled delivery system is designed to improve upon our industry-leading service offering and sets the bar higher for delivery and the quality performance that we provide to our customers,"   says Mark Savan, president.  "Under SimontonTime we give customers a firm delivery date at the time of order and deliver on that promise, on custom products, over 95 percent of the time.

“We dramatically advanced the entire industry in 1992 by introducing our seven-day delivery system,”  Savan continues. “Now we are offering an even higher level of customer support, even though the standard we’re improving upon is our own.”

According to Savan, a “perfect” window order must be accurately entered into the Simonton order entry system, manufactured correctly, packaged and labeled accurately and then transported to customers on time, without incident or damage.  “With the SimontonTime program we have set a higher bar for ourselves for delivery performance,” says Savan. “I am pleased to say that even under our more stringent criteria, we are operating at all time high levels of performance.”
