Monarch Windows & Doors Inc., a producer of high-end vinyl windows that sells direct from the factory, has outgrown its current London, ON, facility and will move to a brand new site in Woodstock, ON, about 35 miles northeast of its present locale. The transition, which will be completed in early May, will give the producer twice as much floor space—more than 8,000 square feet—with a manufacturing building that will include an expansive showroom.

Co-owners Patrick Heinrichs and Larry Lacovino say the relocation also puts the company in closer proximity to its principal markets, which helps reduce shipping costs and other expenses. In addition to its Hamilton, Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo service regions, Monarch is steadily growing a customer base in western Canada as well.

The three-year-old manufacturer sells its windows and patio doors directly to contractors and individuals. The new building, which is currently under construction, will feature Monarch windows along its exterior. “That was a key factor,” Heinrichs told the Woodstock Sentinel-Review newspaper. “That drive-by recognition goes a long way.”

The new site will call for 10 employees initially, but that number will likely grow as the business does.
