White Oak Partners, a private equity investment firm of Columbus, Ohio, has entered into an agreement with Maine's Applicator Sales & Services Inc. to acquire a stake in its Paradigm Window Solutions business. Paradigm, based in Portland, Maine, manufactures vinyl windows and currently distributes products along the East Coast and into the Upper Midwest.

Also based in Portland, Applicator Sales & Service is a buiIding products wholesaler serving the Northeast.  The current transaction only affects the Paradigm Windows business, officials note, with Applicator Sales remaining under current ownership.  Rich Robinov, Paradigm president and Scott Koocher, Applicator Sales president, also maintain an equity position in the new Paradigm Window joint venture.

In a letter announcing the merger with White Oak Partners, Robinov and Koocher state that the joint venture is designed "to ensure that Paradigm Window Solutions will be brought to a national platform."

White Oak also has Magnolia Window Co., a Baldwin, Ga.-based manufacturer of vinyl window products, in its portfolio.  The joint venture also enables Paradigm to expand its efforts "to bring Magnolia windows to the Northeast and allow its customers to offer products in the starter level position to the new construction and replacement sectors."
