Schlage Lock Co. LLC, a business unit of Ingersoll Rand, has acquired the assets of the door hardware division of Fusion Hardware Group. The company is said to offer a diverse product line that includes decorative handlesets, knobs, levers, deadbolts, keyed entry plates and other decorative accessories.

“Adding Fusion to our product portfolio provides Schlage immediate access to the decorative door hardware and lock category, as well as entry into the custom showroom distribution channel,” says John Evans, VP, marketing and product management for Ingersoll Rand. “With Fusion, we also gain a group of talented and highly motivated employees as well as a compelling business model, which will enable us to enter new markets with confidence.”

Fusion will be operated independently from Schlage by the current operational team with the support and resources of Ingersoll Rand, it is reported.  The company will continue to focus on custom and designer showrooms across a wide range of market venues and will promote its signature “suited design” concept of design-matching door hardware, plumbing and bath products along with its original joint-venture partner, Globe Union.

“We are excited about the opportunity to offer our customers a full range of solutions from our stable of trusted brands, which will now include Fusion and its distinctive line of door hardware and accessory products,” Evans states.
