Sierra Pacific Industries announced that Kendall Pierson has been promoted to president of its windows division. Last week, SPI  announced it had entered into an agreement to purchase Hurd Windows and Doors, including both the Hurd and SuperSeal brands, from Longroad Asset Management, LLC. SPI is a family owned and managed wood products firm headquartered in Anderson, Calif.

Pierson advances from his dual role as vice president of SPI's millwork and windows division. “We need Kendall’s experience and proven leadership skills to guide our window division through our acquisition and integration of Hurd Windows and Doors,” says George Emmerson, president of SPI. “At a time when we are planning a major  expansion of our sales and manufacturing capabilities, Kendall’s background and skills make him ideally suited to tackle the challenges that lie ahead for our company,” Emmerson adds.

Pierson has been with Sierra Pacific for over 30 years and has served as vice president of the millwork and windows divisions since 1997. In this role, he was responsible for the oversight of three manufacturing plants with 1,200 employees. The firm grew dramatically during that period – becoming one of the largest lumber producers in the U.S., and the nation’s largest millwork manufacturer, according to company officials. Pierson will continue his oversight of the millwork division in his new capacity.
