Therma-Tru Corp. will phase down and ultimately close its Roland, Okla. manufacturing facility effective Sept. 30. The plant currently manufactures fiberglass and steel exterior door systems.

Production of these products will be transferred to the Therma-Tru facility in Butler, Ind.; while merchandising display production will be relocated to the Edgerton, Ohio technical center.

“We sincerely regret having to make this decision,” said Bob Keller, Therma-Tru vice president of manufacturing. “In response to the continued downturn in the U.S. housing market, we are forced to align our capacity with marketplace conditions.”

The company will offer transitional assistance and job search training for the 220 employees who will be displaced.
