May 13, 2014
Tru Tech Doors, Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, recently announced a strategic distribution agreement with Weston Wood Solutions of Mississauga, Ontario, to provide pre-hung entry systems and door products to the South American market. Under the agreement, Tru Tech Doors has shared energy efficient fabrication and manufacturing techniques with Weston Wood Solutions, which recently established a door pre-hanging facility in Santiago, Chile. Weston has set up complete paint and stain pre-finishing operations and is offering full turnkey solutions tailored to the local market, company officials report. Using Tru Tech door components, the pre-hung entry systems will be marketed under the brand “TruTech Puertas.” The offering will include fiberglass, steel and fire-rated steel doors.
“We are certainly very excited about the opportunity to partner with Weston Wood Solutions to introduce North American building techniques and products to the pre-hung door market in South America," says John Careri, president of Tru Tech Doors. "Weston’s operation in Santiago is well positioned to service the remodel and new home construction segment in Chile’s strong and vibrant economy, and provides a base for future expansion to other emerging markets within South America.”
