Joe Peilert is joining Veka Inc. as president, succeeding Walter Stucky, president and CEO of the North American division of  Veka AG. Stucky is stepping down as president beginning March 1, though he will remain CEO through June in order to provide a smooth transition at the vinyl window extrusion company.

Peilert

Peilert most recently served as president and CEO for TMI International LLC, a manufacturer of flexible PVC products. Prior to joining TMI, he worked as general manager and executive vice president for Ardex North America in the building materials industry.

Fluent in English and German, Peilert brings extensive international experience working on four continents in different sales, marketing and corporate development functions.  “I became familiar with Veka Inc.’s innovation and quality leadership 18 years ago, when I moved to the United States," Peilert states. "I was very intrigued by their success and I am excited to now be a part of a strong team that is poised for future growth.”

Stucky retires from his position as CEO on June 30, but will be retained by the Fombell, Pa.-based extruder in a consulting role, involved in various special interest projects, until the end of 2011. He has served as Veka's president and CEO for the past nine years and as its executive vice president for the previous 14 years.
