VT Industries has announced that production of stile-and-rail doors will be relocated to its Ideal Door Division located in New Albany, Ind., according to a report in the Cherokee (Iowa) Chronicle Times. Based in Holstein, Iowa, VT manufactures architectural doors and laminate countertops, operating more than 1 million square feet of factory space and employing more than 1,000 people around the U.S. and Canada.

"This move is a great opportunity to not only increase production of flush wood doors produced in Holstein but to increase production of our stile and rail doors and our high-end custom doors manufactured at the Ideal facility," explains Jason Farver, vice president of VT Architectural Wood Doors, in a release provided to the newspaper.

VT currenlty makes both stile-and-rail and flush doors at its Holstein manufacturing facility. With the shift of the stile and rail division to Indiana, the company plans to dedicate more production space at the Iowa facility to flush doors. Officials note that no jobs will be lost due to the move.
