Taylor Entrance Systems, formerly Taylor Building Products of West Branch, Mich., has been purchased by Wausau Supply Co. The Schofield, Wis.-based distributor serves retail lumber yards from locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, South Dakota and Kansas.

The change in the Taylor name reflects the new direction of the door manufacturer, founded more than  40 years ago, officials state. Taylor Entrance Systems will continue to manufacture its complete line of steel-edge doors, including its oak-grained stainable steel line.  In addition, it will distribute door components such as rot-resistant door jambs, heavy gauge aluminum door cladding, hinges and sills.

Wausau Supply's product line includes siding, insulation products, engineered wood products, stone, decking, fencing, caulks and adhesives, and door hardware.  The company also operates Waudena Millwork, a supplier of exterior and interior doors and vinyl windows, as well as a manufacturer of mouldings.
