WinDoor Inc., the Florida-based manufacturer of high-end customized sliding glass doors and windows, has gone live with WTS Paradigm’s CenterPoint and MasterPoint software. Now used by the manufacturer's external sales team and its manufacturing and engineering departments, the system will next be rolled out to dealers, and with remaining WinDoor product lines to be entered as well.

“Prior to rolling out CenterPoint, our outside sales team had to call and fax in hand drawings of our complex configurations,” states David Miller, WinDoor's general manager.  “With CenterPoint, our team has the power to easily and efficiently send through quotes and orders of the same products that now only take a couple of minutes to complete.”

By choosing CenterPoint on the front end for their order/quote system and MasterPoint for the back end manufacturing system, WinDoor's teams have the ability to work together with one software application. This eliminates double data entry between systems, and quotes and orders provide exact specifications to the manufacturing back end, officials note.

“The benefit of using both CenterPoint and MasterPoint is the power of the bill of materials,” states Robert Fields, WinDoor customer service supervisor. “The applications talk to each other where on one end you have a nice quote for the customer to view and on the other end, the manufacturing and engineering teams receive the exact measurements and specifications for even our toughest configured designs.”

Based in Orlando, Fla., WinDoor manufactures extruded aluminum sliding glass door and window systems, including custom designed impact products capable of meeting the most stringent impact standards in the country.
