Windsor Windows & Doors has completed a 100,000-square-foot expansion of its West Des Moines, IA, plant. Having doubled its business in the past five years, the manufacturer will use the additional space for a new IG production line, as well as its expanded vinyl product line.

The company expects this growth spurt to result in about 125 jobs. Its current employee roster stands at more than 700 people.

“The addition of a new plant is opening many doors for Windsor within the marketplace and the community,” says Mark Rieser, vice president of sales and marketing. “We are enthused about our opportunity to grow our vinyl business, while simultaneously making an investment in a community in which we have such strong roots.”

Windsor will host a private reception March 28 for employees, customers and local officials.

Owned by Woodgrain Millwork, a manufacturer of prefinished mouldings and interior pine doors, Windsor operates its headquarters in West Des Moines and has an additional manufacturing location in Monroe, NC.
