Global Gases America, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dubai-based Global Gases Group FZCO, is nearing completion of its specialty gas fill plant in Bethlehem, Pa. The 12,000-square-foot plant, expected to begin operation June 1, 2013, is Global Gases’ first specialty gas production facility and its first location in the United States. Initially, the Bethlehem facility will focus its efforts on producing rare gases and blends for the window and lighting industries, as well as CO2 laser mixtures, calibration standards and stable isotopes.

“We have assembled a highly qualified and experienced team of specialty gas experts, and I am confident that we’ll deliver a strong offering to the market," says Phil Kornbluth, senior vice president, Global Gases America.

Global Gases has existing facilities in Afghanistan, Cape Town, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Nanjing, Perth and Singapore.
