The Department of Energy's Building Envelope and Windows R&D Program is hosting a window attachments technical analysis workshop next week at the Holiday Inn Washington National Airport. The purpose of the meeting, scheduled for July 16-17, is to work with key stakeholders to identify what is needed and what is available to properly characterize window attachment performance.

The agenda includes a presentation on categorization of attachment products for testing, simulation programs and their performance indices, an overview of simulation models, software tools, measurement procedures and standards and a discussion of a market study to determine installed base and user operating behaviors of residential window attachments.

Participants are welcomed on a first come, first serve basis, officials note. Those interested in attending should contact  zalis@energetics.com for more information.
