Lynden Door Launches New Website
Lynden Door is launching a new website today, replacing a site that has been in place since 2006. With an appearance similar to recent product literature and other print communications from the company, the new site was designed for simple, intuitive navigation using topical drop-down menus, allowing users to find information quickly and without many clicks, the manufacturer reports.
“A building product manufacturer’s website best serves the needs of its customers by providing a well-organized, current and detailed library of relevant product and services information,” states John Ridder, senior vice president for the wood door manufacturer.
Sections of the site highlighted on the top menu bar include Products, highlighting Lynden's flush and molded interior doors, including technical data PDFs, and Door Prep & Options, detailing machining, factory finishing and other services offered. Also featured are literature, "about us" and Green sections.
In addition to the website, Lynden developed a social networking strategy designed to better meet the needs of customers, including those in their early 30s and younger, "who eat-sleep-work-play" the internet, points out Mitch Toews, business development manager. The new site's Latest News page is integrated with a LinkedIn company page and a Lynden Door Twitter account for cohesive messaging across an interconnected matrix of online media, thereby providing "many roads to Rome," when it comes to disseminating product and brand info, he notes.
