May National Associates Inc., based in Lakewood, N.J., is resuming production of PRC insulating glass sealants, having acquired a license to produce the line from PPG Industries, which announced plans to exit the business at the end of last year. The former PRC line, including polyurethane and silicone polymer-based IG sealants, will be sold under the Bondaflex brand name.

“The addition of PRC insulating glass sealants further expands our product offerings for residential and commercial window applications,” says Mark Yamout, CEO, May National. “Making these products available again will continue to provide insulating glass manufacturers with the products they know and trust, while giving them the quality, performance and ease of application they require. By the addition of the PRC line to our already-extensive offering of products for window fabrication and installation, we can also better serve many of our customers who produce both insulating glass and windows as well as install these products.”

PRC products now available through the Bondaflex brand include: PRC 4400, a two-part silicone for conventional and structurally glazed insulating glass units; PRC 4401, one-part rapid cure silicone; PRC 4429, a two-part polyurethane sealant developed to seal against moisture, cold, heat and contamination; and PRC 4429 HM, a two-part polyurethane sealant for use in the fabrication of Heat Mirror IG units.

Bondaflex Technologies, the leading brand of May National, offers high-quality acrylic, polyurethane, hybrid and silicone sealants and adhesives to the commercial construction, fenestration, industrial and transportation markets.
