Minnkota Windows to Break Ground on New Manufacturing Facility
May 13, 2014
Fargo’s Minnkota Windows, Inc. is breaking ground on a new 78,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for its line of vinyl windows and patio doors. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at 2324 Main Avenue in West Fargo on Thursday May 15, at 2:00 pm.
Minnkota Windows has been producing vinyl windows in Fargo since 1980 and distributes product to 13 states and Canada. Continued growth has required the company to increase the size of its production facility to accommodate demand and to keep the fabrication facilities under one roof.
“It’s a testament to the quality of our product and the loyalty of our customers,” says Brad Bushaw, general manager. “We’ve made windows for 34 years. We’ve now grown to the point that we need more space to continue to make our high quality product, and to accommodate continued growth.”
Construction is expected to last eight to nine months, and the company plans to be moved into the new facility in the first quarter of 2015.
