More than 15 motorcyclists will roared through Illinois and Iowa July 23–25 as part of Ace Hardware Foundation’s third annual “Motorcycle Miracle Mission.” The event is a journey of more than 600-miles from Ace’s corporate headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill., to Iowa City, Iowa, and back. The group aims to raise $100,000 for Children’s Miracle Network and build awareness for the work the organization does on behalf of children nationwide.

“We’re so proud of this dedicated group of employees and partners who are embarking on the Motorcycle Miracle Mission fundraiser and multi-state ride again this year,” says Jimmy Alexander, Ace’s vice president of human resources. “The riders’ reward is in knowing they’ve worked to help children gain access to top-notch medical care at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals – in addition to several great days on the road together.”

During the course of the three-day adventure, the riders – which include Ace corporate employees, retailers and vendor partners – visited Ace’s distribution center, presented donations to two children’s hospitals and made appearances at two Ace stores along the route.

Ace Hardware Foundation was established in 1991 to serve as an umbrella over the charitable fundraising efforts of Ace Hardware retailers, Ace Hardware Corporation and Ace vendor partners for the benefit of Children’s Miracle Network and the American Red Cross.
