The Window & Door Dealers Alliance has named Beacon Windows as its member of the month for March 2012. Founded in 2009, the St. Petersburg, Fla.-based company offers window and door replacement, as well as sliding glass door repair.

"What an honor chosen as the third WDDA Member of the Month," says Lizette LaForge, president. "Relatively new to the industry, Beacon Windows started in the midst of one of the most challenging economies many of us have experienced in our lifetime. As a new business, I was thrilled to find out about the WDDA. To me, the WDDA represented solidarity of purpose, a voice in a crowd that could speak for us as dealers."

In a WDDA blog, LaForge advises other dealers to consider the repair business, along with window and door replacement.  In the current economy, she notes, many customers are more interested in repair than replacement. An added benefit is that satisfied repair customers can eventually become replacement customers.

“Every month we are excited to celebrate our member of the month," states David Walker, WDDA VP. “This month is a special honor to celebrate such an enthusiastic new addition to the industry and the WDDA."
