Edgetech IG Inc. is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Started in 1989, the company is planning special edition newsletters, ads and case studies that focus on the many Super Spacer projects that have stood the test of time.

Customers are encouraged to submit their stories and successes with Super Spacer at www.edgetech360.com.

“We are enjoying the opportunity to reflect on the successes of the past 20 years,” says Michael Hovan, Edgetech president. “The unmatched durability of Super Spacer technology is clear as we look at projects that were completed in the early days that are still providing exceptional energy efficiency today.”

“As we move into the next 20 years we will provide the same high-performance products and services to the industry,” adds Larry Johnson, executive vice president of Edgetech. “It’s always Edgetech’s mission to raise the bar through quality, dedication and the innovative spirit of the Edgetech 360 Value Promise. We hope our customers will join us in the celebration and we look forward to sharing the next 20 years with them as partners and leaders in the industry.”

Edgetech I.G. was formed in 1989 initially as a fully-owned subsidiary of Lauren Manufacturing. After substantial growth in its first five years of operations, Edgetech’s production was moved from Lauren’s headquarters in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to its current 476,000 square foot facility in Cambridge, Ohio. The facility also houses the company’s administrative and marketing offices, and a research and development laboratory.

Edgetech also became a stand-alone entity in 1994. A new holding company, Lauren International Inc., was formed by Dale Lauren Foland, CEO and chairman of the board, for the two divisions – Lauren Manufacturing and Edgetech I.G.

In recent years, Edgetech has gained considerable market share internationally through its commitment to educating regulators, window manufacturers and homeowners worldwide on the energy-saving benefits of warm edge technology, officials report. The company has also worked hard to establish a worldwide presence, opening offices in the UK and Germany, and then opening its first international manufacturing facility in Coventry, England, in 2007.
