Hurricane Test Laboratories celebrated its 15-year anniversary with an open house for customers and vendors at its Florida location in June.
“When HTL opened its doors in 1993, hurricane building codes were in their infancy, we weren’t sure what would happen,” says Vinu Abraham, CEO of HTL. “Today, that initial risk has paid off and we’ve been able grow to a full service test facility with clients throughout the world.”
The company started in 1993 with its Riviera Beach, Fla. facility. The company still owns and operates that facility, along with facilities in Lithia Springs, Ga. and Lubbock, Texas. The company will hold an to celebrate the anniversary.
“We have come a long way in 15 years, but we’re just getting started. We look forward to continuing to be a preferred testing partner for the building and building products industry for many years to come,” says Abraham.
HTL testing procedures have been aired on national media outlets including CNN, the Today Show and HGTV, and the company performs live demonstrations of the air cannon test at various industry events throughout the United States.
