In an effort to help feed the unemployed, MecalUSA has enacted a program to donate money to the local food pantries.  From now until the end of 2010, the equipment supplier will donate 1 percent of the purchase price for any machine to the local food pantry in the community of a purchasing company, in that company’s name, says James Mattox, MecalUSA president.

With the large number of unemployed workers across our nation, most local food pantry organizations are finding it very difficult to keep up with the rising demand.  "We are hopeful that these contributions will help these fine organizations continue to do their work and help the unemployed, until such time as the economy improves and the need is diminished," Mattox notes.
