Consumers Placing Greater Importance on Windows in Home Design
December 17, 2013
Residential architecture firms across the country are reporting steadily improving business conditions, with remodeling activity leading the way, according to the American Institute of Architects Home Design Trends Survey for the third quarter of 2013. In addition to information on housing and neighborhood preferences, the study includes data on the most popular home exterior features among consumers. Windows ranked third on the list, following low-maintenance exterior materials and front porches. In 2013, windows saw a 10 percent increase in popularity over 2012, according to the survey.
