Based in Frankfurt, Germany, EuroWindoor is involved in lobbying and providing information and updates to its member associationss. It works to develop industry positions on European legislation, as well as fostering and maintaining contacts with officials of the European Commission. It is especially focused on government initiatives in the environmental and energy arenas, officials note.
The management of EuroWindoor is carried out by a board composed of the elected presidents and the general secretaries of the member organizations, including the European Plastic Window Association (EPW), the Federation of European Window and Curtain Wall Manufacturers (FAECF), the Federation of the European Building Joinery Associations (FEMIB) and the European Glaziers Association (UEMV). This year, Serge Allaert, the former FAECF president, serves as chairman and Frank Koos, FEMIB and EPW general secretary, is general secretary of EuroWindoor.
