NGA Announces New Chairman

The National Glass Association has announced the election of Kevin McMahon to the office of chairman of the board. 

McMahon, of K-Man Glass Corp. in Bethel, Conn., has been a supporter of the NGA for many years, having served on the board since 2004. He took over the office of chairman on October 1 at GlassBuild America, the annual trade show organized by NGA. He will serve a one-year term.

Joining McMahon as executive officers are chairman-elect, Steve Burnett of Walters & Wolf Curtain Wall, Mukilteo, Wash.; and treasurer, Chris Mammen, M3 Glass Technologies, Irving, Texas. Steve Mort of  Don’s Mobile, Modesto, Calif., serves as immediate past chairman for the coming year.

Rod Van Buskirk, Bacon & Van Buskirk Glass, leaves the board after his dedicated years of service. Newton Little of Ace Glass in Little Rock, Ark, and Bob Brown of Brown’s Glass in York, Pa., join the board of directors to serve three-year terms.

Board members returning for the 2009-2010 term are: Bill Evans, Jr. of Evans Glass Co., Nashville, Tenn.; Rich Harrison of Belron US, Columbus, Ohio; Paul Heinauer of Glasspro, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; Douglas Linderer of Go-Glass Corp., Salisbury, Md.; John Morris of Jack Morris Auto Glass in Memphis, Tenn.; Gregory P. Pattakos, Advanced Auto Glass, Inc., Akron, Ohio; and Robert J. Trainor, Trainor Glass Co., Alsip, Ill..

NGA is the publisher of Window & Door, as well as WindowandDoor.com and WDweekly.   The leading association of the flat and auto glass industries, it recently announced it is working with a core group of residential window and door dealers and distributors to launch the Window & Door Dealers Alliance.
