The Window & Door Dealers Alliance is planning an inaugural Window & Door Dealers Forum to be held next year in conjunction with GlassBuild America 2010 in Las Vegas. The one-day event, set for September 14, 2010,  is the first initiative announced by the new organization, which was launched in September to represent dealers of new and replacement residential windows, doors, skylights and related building products.

“We’re extremely excited about the prospects for the WDD Forum to bring our industry together like never before,” says Jana Goodrich, owner of Seaway Window and co-chairperson for the event. “We’ve needed this type of event for as long as I can remember, and I can’t wait to join my peers from around the nation at our inaugural gathering.”

“The forum will attract dozens of the brightest and most innovative professionals in our business for a day of learning, sharing, problem-solving and networking,” adds Ken Mariotti, president of Woodland Windows & Doors, who also serves as co-chair for the event. “We’re planning a robust agenda that I believe every participant will benefit from and enjoy."

Since announcing formation of WDDA in September, an organizing committee made up of window and door dealers around the country has been working on plans to developing training and educational resources for member companies and provide meetings, trade shows, seminars and publications to advance the professionalism of industry participants.

The effort is supported by the National Glass Association, publisher of Window & Door. More information is available at the organization's recently launched Web site, wddalliance.org.
