The board of directors for Andersen Corp, has appointed Jay Lund to the role of chairman of the board.  Already serving as president and CEO, Lund succeeds the retiring Jim Humphrey.

Lund joined Andersen in 1985 and served in a series of progressively responsible positions in IT, marketing, sales, distribution, logistics and general management.  He became the company’s 10th president in 2009, and became CEO when Humphrey retired from the company in April 2011.

“Jay's contributions and accomplishments over the last 27 years have been instrumental to the growth of Andersen,” Humphrey says. “We look forward to Jay taking on this additional role as chairman.”

“I am honored to take on the additional responsibility of Andersen's board chair," Lund states. "It is a privilege to work with a strong board and to build on our industry leadership position.”

Humphrey officially retires from his board role on February 22, 2013, as part of a planned transition. Humphrey joined Andersen in 1999, served as president & CEO from 2003 to 2011 and was named chairman of the board in February of 2008. He joined Andersen following a 31-year career at Armstrong World Industries.

“Under Jim’s leadership, Andersen grew its national footprint and expanded its portfolio across all price points, and types of window and doors,” states Jack Morrison, lead director.

Privately held, Andersen’s 12-member board consists of eight independent directors, two family members and two members of senior management.
